Snak Shak in Somerville

Waitress was friendly, but the service was slow. It took 45 min. to get our food from the time that we were seated, when the food arrived it was cold. I might have understood if they were busy, but there was only a few tables in the place. When we paid, we were charged $7.00 for a kids meal (grilled cheese with mashed potatoes and a drink) when I got home and looked at the receipt, I was charged an additional $2.50 for the drink. Overall, poor experience.

Food was absolutely delicious. Service was so so. The only real complaint is that it was so hot inside I couldn’t stop sweating. The ceiling fan was barely turning. Now to be fair, I do sweat really easy but it was like 85df in there. Prices were reasonable but owner needs to turn the thermostat down to at least 70df. I was just miserable it was stuffy, humid, and no air movement. If the air was actually on I would have gave it 5 stars for sure. I can’t complain about the food though. My steak was perfection in taste. Salad was good and the glass of soda the waitress brought me was huge. So if the heat doesn’t bother you then you shouldn’t have any problems there except they ran out of cake.

Wonderful food and great service.

Stop by Saturday night and not crowded at all. The owner Gary came out and seated us and I asked what is the best steak to order. He advised the 10 oz ribeye and so I ordered that med well. The steak came out hot and smelled amazing and was flavored in its own juices with the perfect amount of char and was cooked a perfect med well just a slight pink line in the middle as it should be. Great plentiful sides and a salad and great conversation with Gary and a few others there eating and I would consider this a wonderful meal and night out. Also my mom ate and had her a hamburger steak and it was perfect.

Good food, good service and good atmosphere - nestled in a cove between the beautiful mountains of central Morgan County. About the only thing I could ask for is a few more items on the menu, but what they do have is pretty darn good.

Disappointed some foods we used to get are not there anymore, but what we had was Good!

Food and service was good. Took awhile to get our food and it didn't come out together but we will go back.

Clean restroom

H C Jackson is more of a restaurant than a grocery. Although they do carry a few grocery items. The food is quite good. They have a varied menu. And the service is top notch. Usually go on Sunday after church but decided to go on Thursday. Found out they have live music every Thursday. Give them a try. Used to be called the Shack. Located in Florette caddy corner from Brewer high school.

Great service and good comfort food! The fried catfish was delicious and so was the grilled chicken. Homemade mashed potatoes were the best I’ve had in a while. Worth the ride from Decatur!

Great food. The salad bar was good quality. The ribeye was one of the best I've ever tasted. The catfish was perfect and the coconut cake was fantastic. Our server never let our drinks run dry even though they were very busy.

It was good, very pretty place. The food was good. Price wasn't bad portions were good. The salad had egg, bacon bits and green pepper in it.

Nice friendly just a little bit to high on prices they don't have anything fancy nothing you can't fix at home
